The Year in Review

January 5, 2012
Mike Melville

by Mike Melville

It is hard to believe another year has ticked off the calendar.  It seems like just yesterday we rolling out our strategy and plan for 2011 and getting ready for what would turn out to be one of the snowiest winters in years around our office in Nashua, NH.  Now we are all excited for what is in store for 2012 and hoping it includes a much milder winter.  Before we say good bye to 2011 I thought it was worth a review of some of the highlights for IntelliSoft.

In early 2011 we released a new product, IntelliApp SMART, to complement our provider enrollment solutions.  This product has been a huge success for us and even justified the doubling of our sales team by mid-year.  In 2011 we also made an unprecedented investment in our core credentialing (IntellCred) and payer enrollment (IntelliApp) product lines.  We more than doubled our investment in development and released major enhancements across all product lines this year.  The final phase of this specific enhancement project will be realized in our version 12 release due out in early Q2, 2012.  This does not mean the end of aggressive investment in our technology, however, as we have budgeted our development spending at the same level in 2012 as in 2011

In 2011 we were also proud to be the first and only Elite sponsor for the national NAMSS Conference held in Dallas, TX.  This conference, along with participation in MGMA and HBMA, continued our focus on building the IntelliSoft brand throughout the healthcare credentialing space.  It is clear to me that over the past several years IntelliSoft have elevated our brand and product offering to meet our client’s diverse needs.

This year we completed the integration of Cambron Credentials into IntelliSoft and rebranded it IntelliCVO.  This gives our customer the option of using IntelliSoft for software, services, or a combination of both, a unique approach for our industry.  We will continue to look at acquisitions in 2012 that create value for the company and our customers.

Looking back 2011 was also an important year when it comes to key partnerships.  During the year we formally partnered with HCPro and include the option for a free membership to the Credential Resource Center (CRC) with the purchase of IntelliCred.  We also partnered with industry leading consultants Donna Goestenkors, President of Team Med Global Consulting, and Chris Giles, President of Medical Staff Solutions.   Donna and Chris have particular expertise within the medical staff office and will help support the growth of own consulting services that have been in high demand over the past year.

Looking back 2011 has been a very productive year for IntelliSoft and included growth in all sectors of our business.  We have positioned ourselves for substantial growth in the years to come, but we couldn’t do any of this without you, our loyal customers, that make all of this possible.  Your support provides us the foundation and stability required to invest in our products and people.  So thank you for being part of everything we were able to do in 2011 and get ready for what is coming in 2012 and beyond!

With IntelliApp, Time is on Your Side

July 7, 2011

IntelliSoft GroupIf you’re still using the paper method or manually complete physician and practitioner enrollment applications, write down the answer these two questions:

1.)    On average, how many pages are in each of your applications?

2.)    Based on that number, how long does it take you to complete each one?

Multiply that answer by the amount of applications you’re expected to complete per week and the result will reflect the immense amount of time you spend merely creating these forms. Don’t forget; this is only one aspect of the Credentialing Verification process!

Now, take that piece of paper, crumple it up, and throw it away! Feel better? Well, get used to it! It’s time to make the switch to software that automates and simplifies the enrollment process, saving you time and money.

IntelliSoft’s IntelliApp solution contains data conversion features that eliminate the hassle of manually completing a large quantity of applications. Map and position database fields to suit your organization’s personal needs, and auto-populate many different applications from one data entry source. It’s that easy!

Additionally, medical practices that have implemented an electronic system report better financial performance. William F. Jessee, president and CEO of MGMA explains, “Adopting an electronic system can be costly and time consuming, and understanding the impact it will have on the practice is critical… [But] data indicate[s] that there are financial benefits to practices that implement an EHR system.”

What Monegain doesn’t discuss, however, is the amount of time that automated data entry software can save a company. IntelliSoft knows that time is precious, and we want you to put it toward good use! Make the logical choice. Credentialing Update

April 12, 2010

The leader in credentialing, payer enrollment, and contract management software solutions.

IntelliSoft Group understands the critical importance of automating the credentialing, payer enrollment, and contract management process

Healthcare systems recognize that credentialing is the first step to recruiting and appointing qualified physicians.  Essentially, credentialing becomes the quality gate keeping function that will ultimately dictate the level of quality care a healthcare system delivers.

Credentialing is important from an accreditation standpoint as the Joint Commission, NCQA, and URAC all require sound credentialing practices.  Credentialing is also important from a liability standpoint as healthcare systems can be held both directly and indirectly liable for inadequate credentialing practices.  And, there are risks to healthcare systems loosing significant reimbursement revenue due to improperly credentialed physicians.
